Arrived for a cooling system repair and found the outdoor condenser was struggling to start due to a failed dual-run capacitor. Tested the capacitor and confirmed it was outside its rated range. Replaced the faulty capacitor, checked the electrical connections, and verified proper voltage to the condenser. Ran the system through a complete cooling cycle and confirmed the compressor and condenser fan were operating normally.
Performed cooling maintenance service on the HVAC system and found the condenser coil heavily restricted with dirt and debris, limiting heat transfer and reducing cooling performance. Cleaned the condenser coil, checked the electrical connections and refrigerant pressures, and inspected the condensate drain. Ran the system through a complete cooling cycle and confirmed proper airflow, temperature split, and normal operation.
